It's actually a great restaurant / cafe but I think you could use a little more ground coffee for coffee. The purest senior coffee. Then it would be better to drink black tea there and coffee somewhere else where there is no savings on coffee powder.

Nice location right on Rubbenbruchsee. The service is very friendly and attentive. The dishes are very tasty and there are good seasonal specials. Good, extensive beer selection. During the Corona period, they completely equipped the terrace with large, connected umbrellas and covered it, as it were. There are also radiant heaters, so that you can sit outside in a comfortable and infection-proof manner even in the cooler months of the year. Thumbs up for that!

Ordered a small goulash soup for 3.50 euros and received a ready-made product from Erasco. Ordered a children's schnitzel + fries for my little one and received a poor quality schnitzel that was warmed up in the microwave. The breading was not crispy but soft. We'll never come back here. If I want finished products, I make them at home. My wife and I would have expected a lot more from this restaurant.

It's getting dark! It's a shame, the beautiful terrace right on the Rubbenbruchsee was a real gem - until the owner came up with the brilliant idea of ​​completely covering it with seamless umbrellas. Usually such large umbrellas are made of light-colored material and protect against sun and rain; The ones here, however, are similar to truck tarpaulins and do NOT let LIGHT through, only the narrow strip between the screen and the wall still allows some twilight. Seen from the outside, you have the feeling of looking into a black hole - if you like it ... In any case, I don't feel like sitting in the gloomy semi-darkness and only seeing the friendly weather from afar. The Rubbenbruchsee is now unfortunately deleted from my café list.

Wonderful place

The cake tastes good, so does the food. The service is good. Why was this stuffy, green monster roof put up? The atmosphere is gone! We'd rather go by here now, it's very uncomfortable and almost gloomy under this roof.

We went with the family for brunch. Staff unfriendly and completely overwhelmed. Access to the buffet was partially forbidden because there were simply too many guests in the house for the logistics provided. This is constantly justified with the Corona rules, which, however, cannot be implemented at all due to the space and distance. The buffet itself is good, but often refilled only on request (rolls, salmon, scrambled eggs) With probably more than 100 guests and a single buffet, it should work on its own.

In the best weather and plenty of window seats or on the terrace: the view of the lake is wonderful. Pedal boating, watching ducks or taking a walk around the lake (approx. 3km) after coffee and cake. There are several parking spaces available, including for the severely disabled. In the best weather for a trip, however, these are quickly occupied.

Always a wonderful place to switch off. Whether enjoying a cappuccino or a glass of beer, looking out at the lake and getting into the holiday mood. Delicious dishes at fair prices and friendly staff. I always like to be here!

The restaurant is located directly on Rubbenbruchsee, the location is perfect. You have a great view of the lake. The food here is as good as the location. I had a pike fillet rolled in bacon. It was cooked to perfection! The staff is courteous and friendly. Clear recommendation.

If only the prices could be a little less expensive but I suppose overheads must be high. An absolutely fantastic location for a cool beer or indeed a post walk coffee. A gentle stroll around the See would take around 40 minutes and is very enjoyable. The cafe itself delivered tasty food and an excellent coffee. I would recommend this place.

Hi guys, Parking is free, fine. The lake is pretty. The place is beautiful but a little old-fashioned. The somewhat elderly waiter is rather listless, he seems to be doing his work hours there, waiting for retirement. He doesn't know how to sell dishes, not at all. He told us that Currywurst could be eaten, or that it was soaked in pea or pumpkin soup ... the appetite passed: - / We ate two pieces of cake, a lemonade (grapefruit lemonade, pink ??) and a hood: € 15.10! He needs the gag and the revolver to collect, even by the lake. Tip, nothing, you have to deserve it with passion for what you do. Will it be quoco ?? Their system with the cards for the cake, which you have to take from the buffet, which are fixed to the saucer with a clothespin (I hope new ...), it seems to me a puzzle; at the same time the dinner for one butler plays all the time with his tablet, to take the orders. Past and future, frontal accident. Strange. The bathroom, clean and beautiful. I do not recommend this place for tourists. Bye and good luck.

The place is nice, yet the most worth thing is the view.

The food is ok but the service is terrible. Waited forever to be served and then the food came before the drinks, which only arrived after the meal was eaten.

Very pleasant location, right by a lake. Nice patio. Service was friendly but order taking not super efficient (order delivery was fast, on the other hand). Food was good but quite common, nothing to write home about. I would go 3 stars but for one detail: this is the first place I have been in the area that has quite a few Schneider Weisse beers on tap.

Loved this café. Right next to the Rubbenbruchsee, but unlike most cafés, no flies, wasps or bees to upset your drinks / meals. Lovely food and drink and so relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Very rudely send out group of 9 person's saying there is no room but there was if they cleaned of a big table or if they asked of 2 people if they could move a table (they haven't even ordered so wouldn't mind). Parking is muddy when it's rainy. But at least the lake is nice.

We always make a short break here to relax and enjoy the views. I personally love the Heisse Zitrone :p on the drinks menu. One of their waitresses was kind enough to give us some salt for our barbeque free of charge :)

Very good location. Very busy when its a weekend. Good ice cream for kids. Beer too :). Nice to visit.
